1. JISec accepts both original articles submitted by their authors and, as an exception, outstanding previously printed/posted material submitted WITH THE PERMISSION of the copyright owner.
NOTE: Materials submitted to JISec will be posted on the JISec Web site and/or distributed by email to JISec subscribers. Once a year, one volume will be published in paper including all accepted articles. To cover the expenses of this printed publication, authors ought to pay a fee of $10 per article plus $5 per page. Authors will receive one copy of this annual volume. Except for publishing that additional paper volume, copyright will remain with the original author(s) who will retain control over any subsequent use of the material. Anyone seeking permission to reproduce material that appears in JISec will be referred to the original author(s) or the copyright owner.

2. We prefer articles that focus on issues, trends and initiatives rather than on purely technical details. We are particularly interested in hearing from contributors with a clear business focus on Internet security issues.
3. Articles should be a maximum of 5,000 words, but 1,500 to 2,000 is far better. A good way to keep your article short is to focus on one issue at a time. Save your other ideas for subsequent or separate articles. Extensive background material, large graphs and detailed tables should be posted on author's own Web site and cited/linked in the text.
4. BEFORE submitting your article (or the item you have permission from the copyright owner to submit), contact Editor-in-Chief Julio Cesar Hernandez at jcesar@inf.uc3m.es. For publishing purposes, it is compulsory to submit your article using the "Submission Template." Insert your text, name, biographical details, etc. into the template and email it back. The completed template makes your article ready to post on the JISec Web site as soon as it is approved by the Referees and the Editorial Board.
5. You must also provide a 150 to 200 word abstract of your article for distribution to JISec email subscribers. You may also submit your abstract to the Social Science Resource Network that distributes abstracts of journal articles to over 14,000 subscribers around the world. 6. Your article will be posted on the Web site as soon as we receive it and the text has been reviewed and approved by the JISec Editorial Board. The email edition is distributed approximately every six months.
7. JISec reserves the right to reject any article without explanation.
8. If author(s) fail to provide a synopsis of their article, JISec reserves the right to select an excerpt for the email edition. We ask that authors check their article on the Web site to ensure no text has been lost in the posting process. JISec reserves the right to edit letters to the editor.
9. Articles that promote a particular product or service rather than providing analysis or evaluation will be referred to the JISec advertising department.
We look forward to working with you. We are attracting an audience from among the professional elite in the emerging field of Internet security. Your articles will help JISec make an important contribution to the transfer of knowledge on a global scale.
